SKYLER'S Blue Buddy Brigade
Skyler's Blue Buddy Brigade is the Roswell Community Disaster Relief’s newest chapter of Jr. Disaster Responders for youth ages 4–12.
The Blue Buddy Brigade’s only mandate is simple but powerful:
“Be Kind.”
As part of RCDR’s core mission—to give our community the tools, support, and experience needed to respond effectively during times of crisis—we aim to mentor our youth with many of the same opportunities we provide our adult volunteers. We believe early exposure to service, preparedness, and compassion helps build stronger, more resilient communities.
This is an incredible opportunity for our kids to learn about public safety, disaster response, and community service directly from the heroes who do this work every day.
Jr Responders get the opportunity to go on field trips, work on community projects, and join the adult responders in the Eastern NM State Fair Parade and decorate their very own float.
